How to fit your battery?

For "dry" lead-acid batteries supplied with an electrolyte pack: activation (filling + first charge), checks, then installation in the machine.

QUICK ANSWER

	PPE (acid-resistant gloves, goggles) and a ventilated area, away from flames.
	Fill each cell up to the "UPPER/MAX" mark, then let it rest 30–60 min.
	Charge at low current (≈ 10% of the Ah capacity) for 6–12 h, with the caps loosened.
	Check the voltage (≥ 12.6 V for a 12 V battery), top up the level, close it and install.

SAFETY & EQUIPMENT

	Electrolyte = diluted sulphuric acid: corrosive. Wear gloves/goggles, keep water nearby.
	Charging = possible hydrogen release: ventilate, keep all sparks away.
	Does not apply to sealed AGM/gel batteries: do not open them, follow their instructions.

ACTIVATION STEPS (DRY BATTERY)

1	Prepare Battery on a flat surface, remove the caps, fill each cell up to the upper mark.
2	Rest 30–60 min for soaking. If the level drops, top it up again.
3	Initial charge 12 V charger at ≤ 10% of the Ah capacity (e.g. 1 A for 10 Ah) for 6–12 h, with the caps loosened.
4	Final level Adjust to the upper mark. After that, only add demineralised water (no more acid).

CHECKS & INSTALLATION

Voltage

≥ 12.6 V (fully charged). Otherwise, keep charging and check again.

Fitting

Connect + then – , tighten without overdoing it, terminal grease is fine.

WARRANTY / RETURN

A PROBLEM AFTER 24 H?

If the battery remains unusable after activation and 24 h (insufficient voltage, won't hold a charge), open a request via the form: order no., model, photos, measured voltage, steps followed.
