FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS |
Which file for a 3/8" chain?
According to the table, a 4 mm round file is generally suitable (check your chain's specifications).
How often should I sharpen?
As soon as the cut slows down, produces fine sawdust or wanders. Light, regular sharpening keeps the chain in good shape.
Do I need to set the depth gauges?
Yes, periodically, with a flat file and a gauge, to keep the correct depth of cut.
